The TOUS Jewelry and Artisans School project, silver prize at the International CSR Excellence Awards
The TOUS Jewelry and Artisans School has been recognized with a silver award in the latest edition of the International CSR Excellence Awards. Promoted by The Green Organization, an entity that has been operating since 1994 to promote sustainability and solidarity in companies around the world, these are awards that recognize good practices in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility at the international level. The awards ceremony took place on July 22 at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
The project was distinguished in the category of "Retail and Wholesale Engagement" for its work and commitment in the recovery of a millenary trade through the direct training of students and the real work projection of the students participating in the initiative.
From the commitment to the sustainability of jewelry and with the commitment to add value to society, in 2018 we launched this initiative with the aim of promoting the professional training of future generations. In this way, in addition to the training framework, we want to offer real work projection to the participants, something that we have already achieved in the first edition: more than 15% of the students have obtained employment directly, in the TOUS Workshops or indirectly, in workshops external to the brand.
Among the winners of the past editions of these awards, are Carlsberg, Royal Mail or Virgin Money. In addition, the organization of the awards annually publishes the CSR World Leaders, its own publication that gathers the winners of the awards and positions them as an example of excellence and best practice in CSR.
